Alexi Maczka
Join us this Friday, Nov. 11th, at Pants to view new work by Seattle artist, Alexi Maczka. Alexi Maczka spent his childhood in Pittsburgh , PA. As a youngster, his creative appetite was well fed; when not partaking in E.L.C. (Extreme Lego Construction), Alexi was attending Saturday Art classes at Carnegie Museum. Decades later, after earning his degree in Studio Art, Alexi settled in Oakland, CA to work as an Art Teacher while further developing his painting skills. Now living in Seattle, Alexi can usually be found out in his studio making art--"My creative process is a bit chaotic and obsessive, yet satisfying. I construct/deconstruct, cut/paste, paint and scrape away until I am content (or just exhausted). Things that inspire me: weathered signage, kitsch and odd juxtapositions.
Artist will be in attendance. Reception begins at 6:00 pm and goes until 9:00.
